INTERNATIONAL PROJECT OF MAIL ART AND DIGITAL ART

The Councillorship for Culture of the Municipality of Quiliano, in collaboration with SACS (Space of Contemporary Experimental Art) and the Public Library A. Aonzo, organizes a Mail Art Project on topic “Blue Planet. Journey into Nature and Man”, dedicated to Bookmark Art.
Thanks to an excellent collaboration between the Public Library of Quiliano and SACS, we have decided to dedicate the project to the bookmark, considered as an element which guides the reader during his/her journey among words and images. So, each Artist is invited to express throught the bookmark his/her personal thought about planet Earth with an image.
The theme “Blue Planet. Journey into Nature and Man” gives the Artists all the creative freedom they need to let us appreciate the most brilliant and wonderful aspects of Mail Art.
SACS, as usual, dedicates a section to digital images, too. The theme of this section will be the same as Mail Art, “Blue
Planet. Journey into Nature and Man”, so that the Artists will be totally free to express themselves.
323 artists from 32 countries all over the world participated in this event, for a total amount of 370 artworks.

The exhibition will be open during the following times:
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
It will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
Special openings during “Agrigusta” (food farming exhibition): September 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th, 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm
OCTOBER 15th - 12th Day of Contemporary
Extraordinary Opening: 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m./ 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.
